These are mostly pictures from October 2007. We have more pictures from Hawaii, but they are on our video camera (since our digital fell and hit a rock and went swimming in the ocean) and we are still figuring out how to get them on our computer.....so more Hawaii pictures will be coming soon (hopefully!) The others are of Halloween. October was a busy month for us!
This is our family in July before Jack left for Ecuador.
This is Vic with the BIG GUNS of the USS Missouri
Vic and I at the Shore Bird restaurant along Waikiki beach. We ate here once for supper and once for breakfast. There are no windows between us and the beach!
Stacy on the beach on 10/23/07 with Diamond Head behind her. This one is a little fuzzy, but we loved the view.

These are pictures from this weekend. Dad turned 78 yesterday (9/29). Click on the first one of Alyssa so it gets big - it is a really beautiful picture of her blue eyes!

This is Alyssa at the football game Friday night (9/28/07). It was a little chilly so she wore a hat (sometimes). Before the game was over, the skies opened up and it rained really hard. We were completely soaked by the time we got to the car. It was pretty funny to watch everyone running. No one was prepared for rain!
Dad and Mom with Dad's birthday cake.

These are pictures from the month of September. Vic and I took Alyssa to the State Fair on Labor Day. That was after Lys and I participated in a 5 K (we walked - well I piggybacked her a lot of the way). It was a hot day, but we had fun.

On 9/15/07 we helped can tomatoes at the cannery. It is quite a process and you feel good afterwards - the canned food goes to help the needy and also for disasters as well as available for purchase. We thought that the best part was the new must have fashion accessory - the HAIRNET! I guess it is one of the great equalizers....no one looks good in them!

This past week was homecoming at Lincoln. Letty played in the powder puff football game on Wed 9/19. We never get rain that early - but this year it POURED! We were all soaked! She was also on the Jr. float. Lincoln High School is celebrating it's 100 year anniversary. After the game (we beat Gridley 35-0) was the dance.

August 2007

Vic is on the Advisory Board for Northern CA Special Olympics. They do an annual fundraiser where you can buy a rubber ducky for $5. They take them to the Sacramento River and using front loaders they dump them in the river to "race" down. It raised over $150,000. We got to go on a short river cruise and then watch the duck race. Chrissy, Letty and Alyssa went with us.
We went to a "duck" fundraiser for special olympics. This is Lys and I with the duck on the ship.
This is all of us with the big duck.
Letty and Lys at the roller skating rink.
Letty on the first day of school - they were having a rally so she had to wear her cheerleading uniform.

A view of the playground that we all helped build in 1999.
The City has done some landscaping and installed a plaque that tells about how volunteers made the playground.
Letty all dressed to go to cheer camp at 6:30 a.m. on 7/30/07. Sorry, I don't know how to rotate her so she is standing correctly!

These pictures are from May through July 4. We met Gin when she came to visit Jason in Santa Clara. We ate at the Apple Cafeteria, which was amazing and had many choices. This post includes pictures from that short trip, girls camp, Provo and everyday life. Our summer has already had lots of fun! We plan on hanging around Lincoln for the rest of the summer. Letty starts cheer practice next week. Hope all is well with everyone!
